A career in beauty therapy?

When considering a career in Beauty Therapy it is extremely important to consider the qualifications that are needed in order to become a professional Beauty Therapist.

The Government are putting more emphasis now on vocational education and the importance of gaining a recognised qualification. More than ever before, well trained and well qualified therapists are in demand in the workplace.

Qualifications

We offer National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs).

Insurance

Upon successful completion of the course a NVQ course is awarded entitling the therapist to apply for insurance and membership to any of the following professional bodies:

The Federation of Holistic Therapists
The British Association of Therapy & Cosmetology
The Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists
Professional Beauty Direct

Equipment

The Academy provides most equipment needed such as Towels, Dermalogica Skin Care, Wax pots etc . . . However the students will need to purchase a kit of equipment which they will bring into college with them each week for their own use. Students will also be expected to purchase a uniform. Class sizes are kept to a maximum of ten students to ensure intensive personal tuition.
